Hydro One Mobile App Reviews

This app is pretty good for seeing the outages and getting a general idea for when the power may be restored. Its only as up-to-date as dispatch is, so does not reflect up-to-the-minute status. Would be better if you could report outages and restorations through the app, as landlines went out too. If outages in your area dont show, likely youre not covered by Hydro One - youre probably under Toronto Hydro or municipal hydro.

I use this app all the time. Its great and works...not to bad. It has a couple glitches but they will get it worked out. To the people believing this app will restore your power.... Your out to lunch, it is just a look into time frames on when your power will be restored. Also to the comment a couple above mine.... Why dont you download a Toronto hydro app...... They might have "the largest city" on it... Hydro one does not serve Toronto. Use your head

You are better off using the website

This app is useless for anything other than outages. I thought it would be like similar apps that allow you to access your account, check your balances, make payments, review your own usage etc. not the case at all. Completely useless unless you want to know where the power is out. Waste of time downloading.

This app doesnt work!

The app seems pretty basic as it is. My suggestion would be to add a feature that allows people to know when they are on peak / off peak.

It would be nice to be able to access your account information, and see your daily usage and billing information, similar to the online site.

Crashes fair amount, Hasnt shown outages at my house once when they happen, take as grain of salt

Im currently sitting in a power outage...a major one in Toronto...and its not even on the map.

Rarely indicates an outage until just before power is restored. I get better updates from the weather network regarding power outages than I do from hydro. This time power was out for 4 hrs with no indication on the outage map of an outage in my area. Useless app, still need to call in every outage to get an estimated restore time.

App crashes my phone when I try to use. Similar problems with their website trying to access outages or TOU. Hydro One steals a lot of money from us. You would think they could invest some this on developing website and app that work.

Sitting in the dark for two hours. Outage map shows nothing. Oh I forgot the government maybe shows up for 4 or 5 daylight hours. Waste of time.

have had a power outage for most the day nothing shows up on map at all. also it wont even let me look at BC it keeps snapping back over to Ottawa..

Planned outages dont work on iPhone 6s. I know when the power is out - would like some advance warning for planned outages. Just like their time of use meters, billing system, and website, they just dont get it. Worse still, they dont care!!!

Cant stand when a big company like this cant spend a few dollars to make a good WORKING app that doesnt crash every time and actually gives you accurate information. You know your customers will be relying on the info from your app when the power goes down. So spend a few dollars and get it right!
