what would give this app 5 stars for me is if it had push notification if there is a power outage in my location, that way some of us could rush home to our electrically powered sump pumps

Two nights ago the hydro was off all night. Last night it was off for 5.5 hours. Ya, I am ticked. I downloaded this app after these failures but if I look at present outages, elsewhere, it really isnt informative. I am about to delete it and will rely on the sudden darkness to let me know that the hydro is off. I am not really interested in Hydro One news. I would expect better/more for the rip off rates we pay.

All that is needed is a simple form to populate your phone number, submit, then receive a status. This doesnt provide the answer to the basic questions: does hydro know my power is off and when is it expected to come back on?

You may not need this app for everyday use BUT when your power goes out it will give you the piece of mind when you find out why its out and when its going back up also lets you know if a crew is on site ( accept use your location ) for this info

I hate it when the power goes out, so when I see the outage map I know how long I have to have to wait before the power is restored. Thank you for this awesome app!

This is a great app, when the power goes out it save me from having to call the # that tells you when the power should be back on and also lets you know if crews are there working on the problem.

They need to fix this app. You have to restart it at least twice to get it to stay open. The power outage map doesnt upload all areas. Only good part is the help section listing the phone numbers to call for information. Too bad, I thought that is what this app was for. I used this last night when we had an extended power outage. Looking for info to help decide whether to stay where I was or go to another friends to keep warm. Hydro you let me down. Said power would be up at 1:15am and it was closer to 6am.

The order is normally develop test launch not the other way around. Completely useless didnt even have updates on a large urban area

The power outage map rarely loads

In typical Hydro One fashion, they must have created a high paid department with multiple layers of staff to create this app that must be opened multiple times to just finally show a map of Ontario with no outage infotmation on it. Im sure our hydro rates will increase to pay for this.

I have to hand it to Hydro One for offering an app to find out if there is issues in your area, and it does work; when there isnt an issue. It appears that the networking infrastructure isnt up to the task when there is a wide spread outage which causes the app to not retrieve data and crash. Until Hydro One gets proper backend resources setup this app is useless when it is intended to be used.

This app crashes as soon as I click on it. Also, this was the only app/website that wouldnt work when I needed it during a storm. Too many bugs.

Information is too vague, menus do not have a way to close once you enter them, and the data is extremely slow.

Major power outages happening due to ice storm, and this app isnt showing anything! Even got booted out trying to write this review. Dont waste your time on it!

I have no idea what the point of this app is. I cant view any of the blackouts in my area, there are no up to date reports and it crashes at least once every use. Now there is the ice storm and we need fast and up to date information, it has nothing to offer. Lame.

Great idea, however the outage map didnt load the first few times. When it finally did it was unresponsive and didnt show any information. The web-based map worked, but the app failed.

Very slow to respond, if at all. News doesnt seem very up to date. Had a hard time understanding the info on the map (when it actually loaded). Not user friendly at all, dont bother with this one!

Worked fine for me first time. Very interesting to see the locations of the hydro crews responding to outages.

I think this app is a good idea. Its not 100% but maybe thats because we got nailed with ice.

If you dont live in the GTA. Dont download it, I dont care whats happening in the backwoods of Ontario. I want to know whats happening in Ontarios largest city. Please include the GTA in next update.
